Joseph Matthew Stanford, owner of Moto Joes in Brandon, S.D., was indicted on one count of grand theft by deception, class 4 felony, maximum penalty of 10 years and/or $20,000 fine; one count of grand theft by deception, class 5 felony, maximum penalty of 5 years and/or $10,000 fine; and, one count of selling a motor vehicle without the consent of lienholder, class 6 felony, maximum penalty of 2 years and/or $4,000 fine.
